thankful for friends

A friend of a friend started a daily blog post called "30 Thankful Days" for the month of November. I got started a little late but I am enjoying this reflective season of thankfulness. You can check out other thankful day blogs by clicking on the image below.

Today I am thankful for new friends. I suppose some of them aren't exactly new anymore . . . but there are a few who are. Chris and I moved to San Francisco without knowing anybody. That was scary to say the least. We were introduced to a friend of a friend via Facebook and she introduced us to her friends and church and the rest is history! I never imagined I would find such a wonderful group of people right off the bat.

And as new people come into the church they come into my life and I am so thankful for them too! I rarely get tired of learning about other people -- finding out their passions and hopes, hearing their struggles and fears-- and being a part of their lives and having them in mine.

Last night, we had dinner with a couple of these new friends (new to me anyway). I felt very blessed to be welcomed into their home and into their lives. Friends are very special.

What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful for friends too! And so glad that you've found some good ones in a new town. Just stopping by from Dawn's GoodLife. :)
